Privacy
What we hold, and what we will never do with it.
The Forge is a private place to record real life. This page explains exactly what is stored, who processes it on our behalf, and how to remove it.

Who is responsible
The Forge is operated by Stephen Penner Solutions in Canada. For any privacy question or request, write to info@realdadlife.ca.
What we collect
Only what you give us or what the product needs to function:
- Account details — email address, name or display name, password credentials handled by our managed authentication provider.
- Content you enter — journal entries, daily captures, missions, reminders, notes and reflections.
- Training and nutrition data — workouts, sessions, loads, recovery notes, food, protein and hydration entries.
- Faith and Circle content — Scripture activity, prayer requests, responses, Circle membership, one-to-one messages and voice notes.
- Family and life records you choose to add — people, events, responsibilities.
- Financial data, only if you connect an institution — read-only account balances and transactions, plus anything you record manually.
- Mailbox data, only if you connect Gmail — message metadata and content needed for the features you enabled.
- Approximate location, only for local weather and time-of-day context. We do not store a location history.
- Billing records — subscription status and identifiers from our payment processor. We never receive or store your card number.
- Basic operational logs — errors and request diagnostics used to keep the product working.
- Product analytics — which pages you open, navigation between screens, and clicks on interface elements, together with the technical details every web request carries: IP address, browser and device type, screen size, language, and the page that referred you. This is stored under a random analytics identifier kept in your browser's local storage and a first-party cookie.
Why we use it
- To run the features you asked for and show you your own information.
- To generate your daily direction, mission and status from data you entered.
- To process your membership payment and maintain your access.
- To send transactional email you asked for (account, invitations, reminders you enabled).
- To diagnose faults and keep the service secure and available.
We do not build advertising profiles, and we do not use your personal content to train third-party AI models.
Service providers we use
These processors handle data strictly to deliver the product. They are the only third parties involved.
- Lovable Cloud — application hosting, database and authentication.
- Stripe — payment processing and subscription management. Card details go to Stripe, never to The Forge.
- Plaid — optional, read-only bank connections. The Forge never sees or stores your banking password and cannot move money.
- Google — optional Gmail connection, only if you authorize it, and only for the scopes you grant.
- Resend — delivery of transactional and invitation email.
- Open-Meteo — weather lookups, using approximate location only.
- HeyCatch (built on PostHog) — product analytics: pageviews, screen changes and interface clicks, plus IP address, browser, device and referrer. Session replay and surveys are switched off, form field values are never captured, and we do not send your name or email to it.
- Lovable AI Gateway — AI processing for capture, interpretation and summarizing. Content is sent to generate your result; it is not used to train models.
Analytics
We measure how the product is used so we can fix what is broken. Analytics records which screens are opened and which controls are clicked, along with the technical details of the request. It does not record session replays, does not read what you type, and never receives the contents of your journal, prayers, messages, captures, commands, finances or any other entry. Analytics data is never sold and is not used for advertising.
AI features
Some features send your text to an AI model to interpret what you wrote and file it in the right place. AI in The Forge organizes, summarizes and suggests. It never makes a consequential decision for you, and every suggested action is yours to approve or reject.
Sharing
We do not sell, rent, broker or trade personal information, attention or advertising inventory. Content is shared only where you deliberately share it — for example a prayer request or message inside a Circle you joined. We disclose data otherwise only where the law requires it.
Retention and deletion
- Your content is retained while your account exists so your history stays intact.
- Deleting content in the product removes it from your view; stored copies are removed on our normal deletion cycle, and voice notes are erased through a durable deletion queue.
- Ask us to delete your account and we will remove your personal content, keeping only records we are legally required to retain (such as billing records).
- Backups roll off on their own schedule; deleted data does not survive indefinitely.
Your choices
- Ask for a copy of your data, or ask for it to be corrected or deleted.
- Disconnect a bank or mailbox connection at any time from Settings.
- Turn reminders and notifications off; there are no re-engagement campaigns.
- Cancel your membership at any time from your account.
Requests go to info@realdadlife.ca. We answer in plain language.
